Therapeutic Massage
An International Blend: Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, a hint of Swedish, Chinese acupressure and American deep tissue create a fully holistic therapeutic experience.
Lomi Lomi
This signature method of working with the body comes to us from Hawaii and is more than just a massage style, it's a healing philosophy. Lomi lomi understands the body as an interconnected whole, where pain or restriction in one area often affects others. Rather than working on isolated symptoms, lomi lomi addresses pain and immobility through this holistic lens.
Like many traditional healing systems, lomi lomi recognizes that beliefs and emotional patterns can disrupt the flow of energy just as much as muscle tension can, and it responds to all of these layers with care. Through long, flowing strokes combined with focused point work, gentle movement, and stretching, lomi lomi helps release stress and muscle tension without the discomfort often associated with more common massage styles.
Massage is most recommended for:
Relaxation | Pain | Injury Recovery | Stress and Tension
Aiding a Detox Process | Shortness of Breath & Asthma | Improving Circulation
Supporting the Body through Grief | Neuromuscular Dysfunction
Healing the Body after Trauma | Pregnancy & Postpartum Support
Massage is not a fix for chronic stress or tension.
For ongoing pain, tension, and stress Rosen Method bodywork is the ideal treatment.
If you are unsure which treatment makes the most sense, choose the Eureka! option when scheduling to allow time for an in-depth discussion of issues and goals.
Healing is a process.
While one massage will leave you feeling good in the short-term, long term healing will likely require ongoing treatment. We can discuss what to expect expect following your first session.
What to expect during a Therapeutic Massage session:
♦ Massage sessions are offered with 60 and 90-minute options.
If you’re unsure which will best suit your needs, let’s chat before you schedule your appointment.
♦Feel free to undress to your own comfort level (feel better keeping some clothing on or taking everything off, thats just fine!)
♦ Pressure can be adjusted based on your preference, so ask for what you need.
♦ Unscented oil is used. If you have any allergies, please let me know. Essential oils are available by request.
♦ Therapeutic Massage does not involve sexual or erotic touch. If that is what you’re seeking, I am not the right fit for you.
How to make the most of your massage experience:
♦ Plan decompression time after sessions. Do not rush back to work or obligations if possible.
♦ Drink plenty of water!
♦ Listen to what your body needs — nap, jog, paint, eat, etc — following your session.
